Leftovers
DE: Überreste · Cost: 4000 ₽
Leftovers is a held item that heals its holder turn after turn during battle. It is the standard item for defensive Pokémon, and in FireRed/LeafGreen two of them are hidden in the field.
What does the item do?
Restores 1/16 of the holder’s max HP at the end of each turn. An item to be held by a Pokémon. The holder’s HP is slowly but steadily restored throughout every battle.
Effect numbers are modern rules. FRLG may differ. See Q&A.
Where do I find it?
Locations are FRLG field finds only, not shops or Sevii.

1/16 of max HP back at the end of every turn, permanently and without conditions. That is 6.25% per turn, a full health bar over sixteen turns. The healing runs even when the holder does not attack, and it pairs with protection moves like Protect for slow grind-down plans. Hail or sandstorm can cancel the gain. No other common item delivers value this reliably over long fights, which is why walls and tanks carry it almost by default.
In FireRed/LeafGreen you can find Leftovers here: Route 16 and Route 12. Both Leftovers are hidden on the exact tiles where the two Snorlax slept: Route 12 and Route 16. You need the Itemfinder, which Prof. Oak's aide hands out on Route 11 once you have 30 species, and the Poké Flute to wake Snorlax.
The safest item in the game. On tanks there is rarely a better choice, because the passive healing works every single turn. Offensive Pokémon want more pressure and reach for Life Orb or a Choice item. If you are unsure what a Pokémon should hold, Leftovers is almost never wrong.
